In the east of Gran Canaria is the kitesurf spot of Vargas beach, suitable for all levels and with very regular winds and waves. Located near Ingenio and the airport, Vargas Beach is a protected area near a campsite frequented almost all year round by water sports enthusiasts. The wave comes from both left and right, it breaks into several peaks, sometimes with tubes.

Practice kitesurfing on a spot with constant winds
Between April and September, the winds are more constant on the spot of Vargas beach, which makes it an ideal place to practice kitesurfing. The bottom is made of sand and stone, and it is best to use this at low tide to prevent the wave from breaking too close to the shore. The best winds on this spot are from North-North East-South West. Even though it is suitable for beginners, when there are strong currents it is better to have some experience to access the water.
